Our mission is to help disadvantaged people overcome barriers to employment. We work with several different client groups but this year we are focussing our fundraising resources on working with victims of human trafficking. Over 2000 individuals per anum in the UK are set free from slavery. However many end up falling into homeless and destitution as a consequence of poor language skills, lack of UK work history and limited benefits eligibility.

We want to help these individuals by providing a programme of supported work experience in one of our 7 social enterprise businesses combined with language training, personal development, employability skills training and counselling. This will provide clients with a route way into sustainable employment and financial independence whilst also reducing the benefits bills, crime and social exclusion.

We anticipate that a minimum of 70% of clients undertaking this programme will go on to find sustainable employment elsewhere.
