To be a heart and home for our community by providing a place for recreation, for learning & for growing. We want to provide opportunties for people to develop personally and for the community to grow together. Our area has many problems, we think that can be changed and that by working together we can improve all of our lives. We run a community centre that provides a place to meet informally and formally, where there are clubs for all ages and all interests providing a focal point for action.

The statistics are a bit depressing to repeat, but we are in the top 10% most deprived wards nationally with all that comes with that. We are also more than that, our community does need practical help with some issues but we are also working on showing people the potential they have and helping them achieve that, on building a sense of community and pride.

There are lots of ways the Three Trees community centre makes a difference, to list a few examples, we have got people into work, provide playschemes, have helped set up groups (such as a community choir and art group), our activities help provide support networks for older people (such as through the community cafe) and lots more. It is difficult to say precisely what we do because a lot of it is about people's attitudes and sense of value! We also make our area a more fun place to be.
