We are a community group who came together following the tragic death of Tirion Preddy in 2017. Tirion was 5yrs old and had always been a healthy and happy child, but in the weeks leading to her 5th birthday she began to fall a lot and her mobility deteriorated rapidly. Tirion was diagnosed with a tumour in her brain stem (a DIPG), which is incurable. Sadly we lost Tirion 6 weeks after her diagnosis. Our aim is to redevelop Llangwm park in memory of our beautiful, strong, kind Tirion.
Why the community needs usWe want to improve the current play park in Llangwm, creating a natural play space that is accessible to children of all abilities. Our aim is that the park provides a fun and exciting space that families will want to visit and enjoy, thus providing local children opportunities to play freely, be active and develop their social and problem solving skills. We want Llangwm's play area to be a space that encourages a sense of community, promoting social and physical wellbeing.
Our impact on the communityA play space that the community can be proud of and that children and families will want to visit. Also a special space for Tirion's friends, cousins and brothers that honours her memory.
