Torbay Mencap is made up exclusively of volunteers and we are committed to removing barriers for people with learning difficulties and disabilities in order to lead an enriched life in Torbay and South Devon.

We use donations to identify and support local projects, with our primary focus on developing social opportunities for children and adults with special educational needs and disabilities. Our aim is to facilitate inclusion by addressing issues of social isolation within our local community.

Our committee has a high level of professional skills that we are able to apply across diverse public and private sector criteria. We are proud to have supported a number of local sustainable projects for children and adults with special educational needs and disabilities, including new Changing Place facilities and local, regular enrichment opportunities.
