As Tortworth Arboretum was abandoned for almost 20 years, there is a significant gap in the age of our trees. Trees live for a certain number of years when they eventually succumb to ill-health or high winds.
We have an exciting planting plan to re-populate the arboretum as our older trees come to the end of their lives. We are re-introducing species which are recorded in the first planting records of the Arboretum in 1853, as well as exploring new varieties which will cope with our changing climate.
By sponsoring a tree planting, you are making a huge contribution to the future of Tortworth Arboretum and ensuring this enchanting woodland is restored for future generations!
