We don't think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That's why we provide three days' nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by Trussell, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
Why the community needs us
We started in November 2012 and now operate five centres with one open every day, Monday to Friday in Sale Moor, Sale West, Broadheath, Partington and Timperley. We employ a manager and have many volunteers who give their time to staff the foodbank centres each week, the warehouse 2 days each week, the supermarket collections and provide administration. Your donation will help us to fill the gaps in our stock when we have shortages of items as well as help us with the costs of running the foodbank.
Our impact on the community
Every year we help many people who find themselves in food crisis in our local community. In 2023, we gave out over 5,000 emergency food parcels, over 2,000 to families to families with children.
