Helping young people to help themselves is the only way things will change for them...

Many people have a head start in life because they were lucky enough to grow up in a situation where life was slightly easier and the people around them were strong and supportive. Others face obstacles that are very hard to overcome without help.

The young people we work with experience disability, trauma, abuse and exploitation.

We spend our time and energy supporting these youth. This is where the need is great. This is where the outcomes are dramatic and life changing.

Why the community needs us
Young people who can't manage their feelings get into all sorts of difficulties. They often don't go to school and get barred from youth clubs. They are seen as anti-social and they get a bad reputation. We work with them to take control of their choices and to help them take part in community events through volunteering. It makes a big difference in a community if a young person who has been causing problems becomes a young person who is a contributing citizen.

Our Impact
When you are a teenager with what seems like the whole world against you, you need somone to be your champion. We are the champions, the critical friends, the coaches and mentors that give these teenagers hope. With our support they go back to school, they get a job, they stop allowing people to exploit and abuse them. They learn to feel safe and happy.

Volunteers needed

We need volunteers to help with all different aspects of running our small organisation. You can get involved in admin, fundraising, youth work, training and all sorts of other things.
