Established in 1998, yet registered as a Charitable Incorporated Charity in January 2016 our mission is to Trowbridge Future will enhance the life of the communities of Trowbridge, by supporting the most vulnerable to enable the change they want to see in their lives.
Why the community needs us
As a small charity, we are committed to supporting the most vulnerable residents of Trowbridge and surrounding areas. Trowbridge Future encourages resilient active communities in Trowbridge. This is achieved by providing local people with the opportunities to come together, build stronger relationships, help local people feel better about where they live and support them to improve their community and the things that matter to them. Current Focus – Youth and Community.
Our impact on the communityTrowbridge Future run a portfolio of youth and community activities. Trowbridge Future run free, popular youth clubs and outreach in Trowbridge, 2 nights per week in Studley Green and Seymour. With regular projects with local and national partners. We run three community fridges distributing unsold food from supermarkets feeding 180 people a week. At our central Hub and satellite premises we work with veterans, homeless, people experiencing mental health concerns and other people in need; providing drop-in sessions, advice, signposting and a safe, welcoming place, reaching over 230 a month. Other activities including Kindness Cafes, Craft Groups, English Language Groups, Walking Groups with over 70 attendees each week.
