We create opportunities for interfaith dialogue.and raise funds to support local causes. We do this through our by-monthly cafes at the Guildhall in the church of Christ the Cornerstone and the annual Great Get Together Iftaar in Campbell Park. Our aim is to bring together diverse communities to build trust and friendships to enable them to find positive solutions to make Milton Keynes a better place to live..Our outreach work involves our voluteers working with both statutory bodies and voluntary community groups such as MK ACT, the Red Cross and Refugee Welcome MK to support families in hardship and particularly the settlement of refugees. We are also a member of Citizens:MK working on local issues such as ending homelessness, tackling hate crime, resettlement of Syrian Refugees and enabling the youth environmental project .to get water stations in TheCentre:MK.
Why the community needs usBuilding positive cross community relationships by promoting dialogue and integration between the Muslim and wider non Muslim communities within Milton Keynes.
Our impact on the communityWe donate funds raised at our interfaith cafes to support local community causes such as Willen Hospice, Melting Pot, Refugees Welcome, MK ACT, varous homelessness projects and The Refugee Resettlement Programme. We have also supported global causes such as the Rohinga appeal. We have an on-going hardship fund that enables our volunteers to provide help to families in Milton Keynes in desperate need. A number of families and individuals have benefitted fro this wide ranging work over the years.
