We work with people from the hardest to reach backgrounds - such as substance misusers coming out of treatment for drug addiction, ex-offenders, pre-exclusion students in schools and young unemployed people. Through our unique, entrepreneurial and inspirational programmes, we aim to maximise employment and self employment opportunities.

We tackle many issues such as deprivation, reducing harm caused by substance misuse, poverty and unemployment through equipping people with life, enterprise and business skills to be able to survive independently in a global economy. Through inspiring enterprise training and mentoring, our programmes use the principles of business and enterprise to positively transform the recovery of substance misuse and repeat offending behaviour by supporting of their key skills to a positive business idea.

We reached out to 1000 people from the hardest to reach and most vulnerable backgrounds in 2009-11. 253 offenders engaged on programmes in 2009-10. Only 11 reoffended after 4 weeks on one of our programmes. In 2009-10, 59% of participants progressed from being unemployed, out of education into education, employment and training within 6 months of starting one of our programmes. 1/3 of substance misusers engaged on the programme became abstinent within 4 months of starting a programme (2009-11).
