Support for children and young people 0-19 with Disabilities and Additional Needs + other Services
Twinkle House was set up with a purpose to fill an unmet need in services for Disabled children. Families reported their need for a local, easily accessible service that could tailor support to their child's individual and varied needs. As a result of this,Twinkle House provides its 1:1 support in a sensory environments that are engaging and adaptable. Providing practical strategies to help improve life skills and emotional resilience. Our Wellness and sensory centre now caters for all ages:)Why the community needs us
Twinkle House provides a welcoming place where children or adults can benefit from a range of support services and facilities to improve wellness. Our free children's support services are a lifeline to many families struggling with their child/young person's difficulties. We aim to ensure they feel helped, supported and more able to cope with difficulties before they worsen needing statutory support. The whole community can benefit from visiting Twinkle House :)Our impact on the community
CYP Service users receiving 1:1 support: are more able to get needs met, reduced frustration, anger and stress, have greater emotional resilience, improved attainment, communication skills and social interaction, more able to relax with fewer melt-downs, less challenging behaviour. Having improved concentration, being more in control, able to make meaningful and lasting friendships. Others using our services /facilities report improvements in sleep, ability to relax and calm themselves, happy!
