We maintain, preserve and conserve aviation items ranging from complete aircraft to photographs, to medals to pro-active displays. We actively promote volunteering, especially amongst the younger generation. We encourage the public to come and visit us, as we believe we have something really unique to offer
Why the community needs usThe direct benefits of the Ulster Aviation Society are towards the education of the public in general and primary school children in particular about Northern Ireland's aviation past.
Our impact on the communityVolunteering to work on the Society's heritage collection of aircraft and artefacts can be a very rewarding way to enhance an interest in aviation, as well as an opportunity to develop skills/knowledge, and meet people with similar interests. We further believe that the education of the public in the history of aviation matters and that an aeronautical museum that remembers and celebrates Northern Ireland's rich aviation heritage is an ideal way to achieve that aim.
