Unmasked Mental Health Support Groups are for anyone who is experiencing poor mental health or who is interacting with somebody struggling with poor mental health.  You can talk as much or as little as you would like, the support group gives space to make that choice.

Each of our groups are informal and relaxed and are run by volunteers. They are 'peer support' groups (meaning people get support from each other), not therapy groups, although, for some, they may have a therapeutic benefit. All groups are led by a facilitator or co-facilitators whose role is to encourage the group to develop and flourish in a safe, non-judgemental and inclusive way.

Unmasked hubs are usually open every Thursday from 7-8pm. We have 6 hubs open and aim to open a further 10 during 2023 within the Calderdale and Kirklees areas.

Wherever possible, we try host these groups in venues which do not charge us to use the premises.  However, this is not always possible.  The cost of branded clothing, DBS checks, the training requirements for the facilitators, and the refreshments each week runs into thousands of pounds each year.

We desperately need some help with funding these hubs and enabling us to open more during the course of the year.  Every donation is gratefully appreciated.
