We provide services to the voluntary and community sector in Calderdale, supporting and enabling them to run their own organisations. Our services include: funding advice, policies and procedures, governance, volunteer recruitment service, safeguarding advice and good practice, a CRB checking service plus advice and support on a range of good practice issues. Our services are delivered right across Calderdale through a mixture of one-to-one support and training.

VAC is a catalyst for positive social change in Calderdale, working to promote and empower vibrant and cohesive communities.Our beneficiaries are the 800+ VCS groups operating right across Calderdale, who in turn support local people in local areas with a wide range of issues.Our charity enables local charities to thrive and develop, thus ensuring that services are available to Calderdale residents throughout the district.

Over the past year we have provided volunteering placements to over 40 people in a variety of roles, enabling them to gain vital work experience and improving their self confidence. We have brokered 1649 vols, supported over 500 groups and provided nearly 400 CRB checks. This work has enabled local VCS groups to grow and develop, remain safe and provide great local services.
