To promote the welfare of the elderly in any manner which by law is deemed to be charitable and within the Wokingham Borough Council area. WADE is a day centre providing subsidised lunch, refreshments, activities and transport for members. We also provide much needed day respite for carers.

A large number of our members live alone, and the WADE Day Centre gives them the opportunity to socialise with others, and have a good nourishing midday meal. We also provide a showering service, chiropody and hairdressing. As many of them have limited mobility, we provide a pick up and return service, and for many it is the only way they can go out.

The chance to go out and meet others in a social and caring environment promotes well being to many who would otherwise lead a very lonely existence.
