'Waffle' is a Community Interest Company with one aim - to get people waffling. Driven by the firm belief that everyday conversations can change lives, and armed with it's own Waffle House in the heart of the town, 'Waffle' works across the community to provide creative opportunities for people to come together and form unlikely friendships.
We do this in three main ways:
To help us achieve this, our amazing team of volunteers, staff and work experience students join us in all sorts of projects including;
- Waffle Workshops - on how and why to have more adventurous conversations.
- Tech Surgeries - a chance to get free tech support and have a natter!
- Community group hosting - a place for community groups to come together at no cost
- Support groups - a safe space for people to regain confidence in rejoining their community
- Community Gardening - support for those that need it in looking after their gardens.
Through these projects we are looking to support our community in East Devon and particular those that feel lonely and unwanted.

- Motivate our communities to recognise the importance of face-to-face conversation in combatting loneliness and unwantedness.
- Educate the young and old to learn skills which give them greater confidence to have new and better conversations.
- Orchestrate opportunities for communities to have new conversations and form unlikely friendships.
