We are a community tennis club in East Haringey, one of the most disadvantaged areas in the UK. We provide a structured programme of high quality and affordable tennis coaching to help our participants adopt healthier and more satisfying and purposeful lifestyles. We also provide training and volunteering opportunities to local teenagers and adults so that they have the skills and experiences to help run the club and ensure that the club stays at the heart of the community.

We are situated in East Haringey, a disadvantaged area with high levels of unemployment, poverty, obesity and crime. We deliver tennis classes within a wide range of locations to try and get everyone playing tennis. We also run training courses and provide volunteer opportunities for teenagers and adults so that they gain useful experiences and become more employable. At all our sessions we aim for participants to learn new skills, become healthier, and go on to lead purposeful lives.

We deliver low cost tennis programmes in East Haringey. Every year 3000 children and adults register for one of the courses and receive at least 5 hours of tennis. Of these participants 90% are from ethnic minorities and 55% are female and 50% of children are eligible for free school dinners. As a club we depend on our volunteers with 50 local teenagers and adults per year attending training courses and donating their time to help run the club.
