Weekly parent-run activities for kids and young people with outdoor, creative, ethical & eco themes
We're about helping kids to grow in confidence, learn and better understand how to value our planet & each other
Why the community needs usParrswood Woodcraft Folk offers a place for children to grow in confidence, learn about the world and start to understand how to value our planet and each other. Our aim is to have great fun, but to also try and develop our children's self-confidence and build their awareness of society around them. We offer the opportunity for kids from across local neighbourhoods to meet, play with each other, spend quality time with us as parents and get involved in local projects which bring wider benefits.
Our impact on the communityWe coordinate activities which protect local diversity, develop social/emotional/psychological resilience in local children; enable a better understanding of globally important issues such as equality, social justice and environmentalism; and provide a place where kids can have fun and play with a wider social group than they would otherwise be able to.
We are looking for more local parents to join our group an volunteer either as session leaders for occasional environmental, creative and / or outdoor activities OR as committee members to help grow and manage the group.
