West Silvertown Foundation is a community-led organisation with a mission is to “create space to belong in West Silvertown”. We want to enable our diverse community to connect and flourish through shared experiences and activities.
Whether someone is a city worker on maternity leave, a teenager that’s been excluded from school, a refugee housed in a local hotel, or a family whose electric has been cut off – we want to provide welcome and support, empower them for the next step, and have fun together on the way.
Since 2007 we have managed the area’s only open access community centre, Britannia Village Hall, and often work with several members of a family at the same time through our projects: children and families, youth and adult support. Over 50% of our staff walk to work, and several of us started as project attendees and volunteers before becoming paid staff, so we know first-hand the needs of our community.
In 2025, we worked regularly with nearly 2,000 local people, and delivered an average of 40 hours of community activity per week.
Your donation will help us to continue our mission.
Thanks for being a part of it!

“We absolutely love attending Stay and Play. As a single parent with no family in the area, the sessions have made a huge impact. We feel part of a community, and attending regularly has helped my little one become a curious and happy toddler!”
