Providing cricket coaching and playing facilities for men, ladies, boys and girls.
We are committed to providing local people with facilities to play and enjoy cricket.
Our qualified coaches run training courses indoor and outdoor. We develop links with local schools to encourage more youngsters to play cricket, and make our facilities available to them and the local community to use during the week.
Our aim is to develop youngsters to progress to senior cricket where we play in the Thames Valley League. The very best have progressed into county cricket with Hampshire.
Why the community needs usAs most state schools no longer provide facilities for the playing of cricket, the ECB (England & Wales Cricket Board) are encouraging Clubs to stimulate interest and provide volunteer coaches and facilities, which Yateley's members have responded to with great enthusiasm.
Our impact on the communityThe number of junior (boys and girls) matches played at Yateley has increased significantly with the introduction of a second ground. Two games are played simultaneously on most evenings during the week. We have over 200 boys and girls playing at ages: under 9, 12, 13, 15 and 17. Some youths (boys and girls) also play in senior mens cricket.
During the last 12 months our volunteer coaches have run courses for a total of 869 school pupils with ages ranging from 4 to 14.
Qualified coaches at all levels for boys and girls age groups from uner 9s to under 17s, and senior mens and ladies.
