We are an independent local charity that works for and with children and young people and their families in the borough of Barnsley. We deliver a wide range of children's and youth work, out of hours, extended services and members activities including table tennis, archery, and radio broadcasting. The Association aims to empower young people by involving them in activities that stimulate, challenge and enable them to realise their potential and participate fully in their communities.

We provide a safe and welcoming space and positive activities for children and young people and support them so they can belong, contribute and thrive in their communities. We provide affordable quality facilities for other charities. We use the resources we have available to support those who are homeless and vulnerable. We have been an active part of our community since 1857 and we are keen to ensure a legacy for the future as a valued deliverer of services and facilities.
