Providing Play and Short Breaks to Children with Severe Learning Disabilities

Enriching the lives of children with severe learning disabilities. We are constantly driven by the stories our families share with us and the need of the children we support. They inspire us to continue to improve, amend and grow our company to support them in the best ways we can.

Employing young people. We hire 38 local people as our playworkers. Most are aged 18 to 35 yrs. We provide a good platform of training for playworkers giving them skills to transfer to further full time employment. Creating leisure time for families which enables them to do things together. This means that together with our affordable childcare they have disposable income and the time to spend in the local community.

We have grown rapidly in a short space of time. We started from a small after school club and one overnight a year. We now run support projects 49 weeks of the year, 75 families regularly accessing our services and we employ 38 bank staff from the local community.
