Why the community needs us
Affordable provision of room hire and facilities to all members of the community. Hosting of social, musical and other arts events, including the Christmas Children's Lantern Parade, Big Draw family sessions, Community Gardens (like allotments), and fund-raising opportunities for other charities. York House has baby and toddler groups, youth clubs, and groups covering all ages, family groups, self-help organisations, exercise classes, arts workshops, music rehearsal facilities, and car parking.
Our impact on the community
York House has a fine track-record of successful family and other social and arts events, as well as providing for private parties, self-help groups, children's and young people's activities, rehearsal space for musicians. The estimated annual footfall is 44,000.
