The Young Actors Theatre Islington (YATI) is a registered charity in heart of North London, providing a space for young people to thrive for over 50 years.

Each week, we work with hundreds of children and young people, bringing them joy, community, and creativity through engaging in meaningful performing arts classes. We use the performing arts to engage a generation of children and young people that are growing up in increasingly difficult times, providing them with space to grow, make new friends, and develop a passion for singing, dancing, performing, and more!

We visit local schools, bringing drama and creativity to classrooms that might not offer any kind of arts-based learning and regularly work with local community groups to bring the proven benefits of theatre to as many young people as possible.

We're not just a youth theatre, we're a place where young people can explore who they are and learn about the world around them in a safe, supportive, and creative environment. We give children an alternative toolkit to tackle lives' challenges and ultimately improve their mental health and wellbeing at school, at home, and later on in life.
