If you can afford to give even just £3 per month, it helps us to support families who genuinely cannot afford to give their children these opportunities. YATI gives the opportunity to children who are excluded from mainstream education or socially excluded, to experience high quality, performing arts classes and productions. We offer affordable, enjoyable pathways into the performing arts for nearly 700 children and young people aged 3-24 years old. YATI is a registered charity. Why the community needs us
Drama can be a transformative tool for children and young people.
With your help, we can offer support for the most disadvantaged children and young people (e.g. in social care, with severe financial hardship, in temporary housing/homeless families) in our area. Our impact on the community
"Six months of drama classes at YATI has done more than three years of therapy, now my son has recovered from serious PTSD and depression… I don't know how to thank you" - 89% of young people surveyed said that YATI had positively changed their lives - Nearly 30% of YATI families are in financial hardship - 200 YATI students gain paid employment in the performing arts industry each year
We are in constant need of ad-hoc/part-time/flexi-time volunteers and interns to help with unexperienced work such as data entry, and simple computer based tasks through to skilled/experienced support with social media expertise, event management etc
