Young Creatives Nottingham is a small Nottingham-based charity which runs the annual Young Creative Awards – an open competition for young people (aged 11 to 24) who live, work or study in Nottingham. It is our aim to nurture and support the next generation of writers, designers, architects, actors, filmmakers, artists and entrepreneurs; helping young people to find ways into education, training and employment; and feeding the creative minds needed to help our communities flourish. As well as the annual awards, we are committed to investing in the creativity of young people in Nottingham, by developing participation programmes to build confidence, knowledge and skills; supporting employability and the development of sustainable creative careers. We work with a range of creative partners across the cultural, education and commercial sectors to facilitate work placements and learning, training and mentoring opportunities for young people, supporting paths into the creative industries.
