Cherished Support

We support girls across Birmingham through mentoring, girls groups, workshops and conferences. Our trained and passionate female mentors work weekly with the girls, journeying with them on the road to building up their confidence, resilience and self belief through a trauma informed lens.

Why they need our service

7/10 school girls believe they are not good enough or do not measure up in some way. With Cherished's support we seek to encourage empower and listen to girls to help them grow in self esteem and confidence. Having someone who listens to you can really change your life. Our aim is for every girl to feel safe, seen, soothed and secure.

Plan and expected results

On average Cherished supports over 400 girls in all areas of our work each year with an average of 60 trained mentors supporting them. Cherished has worked with over 50 primary and secondary schools across Birmingham. Our tack record indicates that mentoring can totally transform a girls emotional well being, realising potential and happiness leading girls to a place of being happy to be themselves. We expect the number of supported girls to double over the next 12 months.
