The aims of the charity are: The advancement of the social education and welfare for young people at risk within Aylesbury Vale. To provide intensive support packages to enable young people to overcome barriers to engagement and develop into happy, stable, independent adults capable of reaching their potential and playing a fuller role in their community. Why the community needs usWe help disadvantaged young people in Aylesbury Vale between the ages of 13-25yrs. We have an established reputation of being the only youth organisation in the locality which effectively supports vulnerable young people with complex needs (or 'hard to reach' young people) with bespoke, flexible, holistic, responsive and individualised intensive support packages. We also receive referrals from specialist agencies identifying the need for our support for their vulnerable or challenging clients.
Our impact on the communityIn an average month 300 young people benefit from our services. They have been able to access invaluable help in a variety of areas including; housing concerns, drug and alcohol problems, mental health issues, sexual health and employment. The local community has benefited from a decrease in levels of anti-social behaviour, the development of positive activities for their young people and from an increase in young peoples' skills and employability.
