We enhance the experience of students at Ysgol Tir Morfa by providing access to a variety of activities & trips. We ensure that children at YTM can enjoy the same opportunities as pupils in mainstream education. We also develop partnerships with other schools in the region, organising conferences & learning opportunities for staff, parents & children. A big part of our work is providing social opportunities for pupils, enabling them to develop social skills, self esteem & have fun with friends.

Without us the children wouldn't have access to after hours social opportunities like cinema and disco nights.These informal, fun evenings are great for pupils - who are able to join in, have fun and be social - but they also benefit siblings, parents and the wider family. Parents are able to socialise and enjoy themselves. Other events we organise provide social opportunities that build relationships between the school and the wider community.

Our school has 139 pupils and everything we do is open to all of them. We have seen young people develop through coming to our social events, from having little or no confidence to participating fully in discos and fancy dress parties! Our new stay & play opportunities mean that parents, carers, siblings and the wider community can have some time and space to go to the cinema, enjoy a meal out or go shopping while their child can play and socialise in a safe and supported environment.
