To promote social cohesion through the sport of football, healthy living and education to children & young people in Haringey, Increase opportunities for young people, from underserved estate from different communities, to participate in recreational and competitive sport through regular coaching sessions.
Through coaching and mentoring in football to offer young people opportunities for personal development and improve their life skills through accessing training. These in turn prevent them from joining gang and getting into trouble.
Continue to develop new community programmes in partnership with other organisations using participation in football activities as a base, for example in tackling issues related to unemployment, literacy and numeracy in order to improve the socio-economic conditions of our community.
Chettle Court Rangers (Youth) FC works with children and young people, from the Boroughs of Haringey, between the ages 5 and 18 and has a comprehensive football training programme which runs between Tuesdays, Friday and Saturday in the Borough of Haringey morning/evening with competitive matches held on Sundays. Our football training programme also involves the provision of personal development and life skills to young people.Chettle Court Rangers (Youth) FC is affiliated to the London Youth Football Association and during the weekend the Chettle Court Rangers (Youth) teams play in various competitive grades of the Waltham Forest & District Youth League. The Club also has teams that play in London Cup games within football bodies such as the London Sunday Youth League.
Why the community needs usAll of the children & young people that attend our club benefit from a fun and safe environment in which they learn new football skills and socialise with other children. We promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage exercise to our players.
Our impact on the communityChettle Court Rangers (Youth)FC We have just come to the end of a hugely successful season for our 6 teams. All the children have enjoyed it massively with regular games and events throughout the year. They now look forward to tournaments and some fundraising before next season starts in September. Many new friendships have evolved within the 6 teams over the past year and we feel we've really promoted healthy lifestyles amongst our members.
Volunteers needed - Our club operates on a completely voluntary basis. We are in need of volunteers to manage teams, coach teams, assist with the running of teams and to help out with various aspects of club administration. If you or anyone you know is interested in getting involved, at any level and for any amount of time, please contact one of the club officials.
