
Improving Mental Health in Sussex we provide a varied number of services, groups & support to a wide spectrum of local people affected by emotional & mental health problems. We offer a wide range of services including drop in facilities, as a charity we encourage people to engage in a number of community activities. The organisation actively encourages, facilitates, creates & maintains the development of new and existing groups & services.
Why the community needs usWe provide a secure & friendly environment to help people build confidence & trust. We work with people to help develop their self esteem & encourage them to engage in community activities including employment, voluntary work & education. We provide a wide range of support services to people suffering mental health problems in the West Sussex area including, group support, setting personal goals, help & advice for carers & their family, individual support & encouragement for a positive future.
Our impact on the communityWe have been an important part of the local community since 1972. Our staff & volunteers have helped hundreds of people suffering poor mental health issues to regain their lives, helping them be as independent as possible, build friendships, relationships and return to work. Chichester Area Mind has played an invaluable role in facilitating, creating and developing a large number of supportive Mental Health services in the West Sussex area. Over 120 people access these services every week.
