Manages Clipstone Miners Welfare Community Trust which provides social, recreational and sporting facilites for the people of Clipstone and surrounding villages with the object of improving the lives of local people.The promotion of the education of boys and girls through their leisure-time activities so that their lives may be improved.We provide football, cricket, bowls, and our youth centre for local people. These are mainly run by volunteers who allow us to support and enhance our community.

We provide all social, recreational and sports facilities for the people of Clipstone and surrounding villages including junior, youth and adult football, youth and adult cricket, youth and adult bowls, over 50's club and our youth centre.There are currently no other facilities provided in our village or neighbouring areas by the parish. Our youth centre is open four evenings per week with uptake of average 90+ per session, whilst at our centre youngsters are not getting into trouble anywhere.

We are considered a deprived area since the closure of the colliery. Many are one parent families, those who are not often have both parents working as wages are a lot less locally since the pit closure. We have some children with life difficulties, behavioral problems as well as physical disabilities attending our youth centre. Young people use our centre as means to escape the pressures. All users of our sporting facilities get to use spare time constructively and healthily.
