We promote the well-being of local residents, regardless of age or background, helping those in need through the Crosspoint Welcome Centre and a recently launched Job Club. People can just drop in for a chat, receive help filing in forms, or finding a job etc. Those we cannot help are signposted to other groups who may be able to assist. Crosspoint also acts as a point of distribution for the local food bank.

The Crosspoint Welcome Centre is a place where people can come when in need or crisis, where they will be welcomed, listened to, respected, and given the time they need in a non judgemental environment. It is also a place where people are empowered to develop and help themselves, through whatever issues or difficulties they are facing. Crosspoint seeks to effectively network with, and signpost to other groups who can help.

Since opening our doors in September 2011 we have had over 400 visitors (November 2012). Sometimes the presenting need has been simple - to find information often sourced on the internet, fill in forms, or just to be listened to, to far more complex, e.g. people with a housing crisis, benefit delays, lack of food or no means to cook or light their homes, help, to write C.V's or look for a job. In each case we have sought to listen, help, and empower people, and where we cannot help signpost on.
