We provide support and personal care in a warm and caring environment where older people and adults with disabilities can take part in activities and entertainment and enjoy a freshly prepared hot meal. This gives them an opportunity to socialise and for their carers to get on with other things. Our support also includes for clients with dementia, some of whom have considerable needs. We are currently open two days a week.

More people are living longer and need support but the pressure on NHS and local authority budgets mean that there are reduced services to provide this support. We bring together local volunteers with people who need care, and if they have family carers it allows them some time to do other activities.

We have helped many people to stay in their own homes rather than enter residential care and have helped to improve their quality of life, for example getting someone walking again who had been a wheelchair user for some time.
