The company's object is to carry on activities which benefit the community - in particular to regenerate the Grade 2 listed Etchingham stationmaster's house for community use.In addition, the CIC works to help facilitate the advancement of community and environmental improvement, through;- The funding and managed regeneration of the existing infrastructure.- The implementation of new developments within the area to promote employment and community cohesion.
Why the community needs usThe CIC is willing to provide the guidance, environment and skills in which a business can be set up and nurtured to success, we are also interested in helping young people to further their education/skills by sponsoring college courses etc.. During 2012 the CIC worked hard to renovate and re-open the Etchingham Village shop. A major restoration task of a listed building owned by the village via the Parish Council. The CIC opened the shop under new management in May 2012.
