Community Story: Speaking Out UK CIC

"Our focus over the last few years has been to develop the company as a multicultural, bilingual and inclusive organisation that reflects the diverse population of young adults who live in hostels for homeless people. We have also been working hard to protect our Service Users from the recruitment activities of criminal gangs in general and from modern slavery in particular."

Community Story: Women Connect First

"The Warm Hubs and seminars provide practical steps in providing inclusive and supportive sessions that will help the women manage their energy consumption effectively. The warm hub provides a warm and safe space with a healthy meal, bringing people together and combats loneliness and isolation, so it’s a really important part of community during the Winter months."

"If it were not for supporters like yourself providing financial aid in the form of grants and ongoing contributions, we would simply not be able to run our charity and enable our vital and much-needed work to continue. For this, we offer our deepest gratitude."

ARCh (Assisted Reading for Children) is a registered charity in Oxfordshire which recruits, trains and supports volunteers from the local community to work with children in a primary school on a 1:1 basis, twice a week for the whole academic year, to impart a love of books and reading and developing a valuable mentoring relationship.

Current and recent partnerships

National Grid is committed to supporting the communities it serves and its local environment through their Community Matters Fund. The fund, which is paid for entirely by shareholders, has awarded over £10m to grassroots organisations since 2021 with grants currently active.

We delivered the £1m+ Magic Little Grants partnership programme supporting 2000+ local charitable organisations across the United Kingdom. All the team extends a huge thank you to the support and contributions from the Players of the People’s Postcode Lottery, who made it possible.

FareShare is the UK's largest charity fighting hunger and food waste, saving good food from going to waste and redistribute it to frontline charities. We carried out due diligence and fund distribution services for them, helping to support over 300 local charities and community groups.

Our team delivered £2m+ grant programme on behalf of the UK government Department for Culture Media and Sport supporting 400+ organisations through emergency funding during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Localgiving has been fantastic in providing a capable online fundraising platform that is easy to setup, user friendly and allows us to claim Gift Aid. It has also meant we’ve had access to extra fundraising opportunities and grants such as Magic Little Grants and more recently the National Grid community fund."
