The Village Hall was gifted to the parish of Firle in 1913. Firle Village Hall and Playing Fields manages the Hall on behalf of the local community and also acts as an umbrella organisation for all community groups that use its facilities.

Why the community needs us

The Village Hall supports: - Over 50's club - Youth Club - Womens Institute - Friday Morning Coffee Club - Cricket Club - Firle Bonfire Society - Theatre Group - Parochial Church Council - Firle Allotment Association - Firle Parish Council - Firle Tennis Club - Firle C of E Primary School - Firle Artists - Local Polling Station - Individual communtiy members (for parties etc) Every one of these groups will benefit from improved facilities at the Village Hall.

Our impact on the community

Once the refurbishment is completed, the Village Hall will have: - More Space both inside and out - Better Catering Facilities - Improved Toilets - Disabled Access - Better storage - A separate club meeting room - Effective insulation and heating As a direct result, there will be more community activities and events at the hall, which will reinforce the strong social and local ties in Firle.
