Children with autism learn while they play at our fun and highly-effective Saturday club.
Focus West London is a North Kensington-based, volunteer-led community group providing a Saturday club for primary-aged autistic children, and a programme of family support. Children are supported, one-to-one, by volunteer therapists trained in the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis ("ABA") which is an evidence-based, highly-effective behavioural intervention. Children learn vital, fundamental play, social and language/communications skills in a fun, nurturing and child-centred club.
Why the community needs usOur impact on the communityWe are looking for ABA tutors, or those with (or working towards) a degree in Psychology/Special Education or other courses which might prepare the volunteer for work with children with special educational needs.
