The Friends of Richmond Park, hosts community events and activities for the surrounding communities these include events such as the annual Community fun day ,weekly football training sessions for the under sixteen's with Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Coaching teams, activities with the rangers service and Activity Sheffield. We also raise money to provide play equipment, outdoor gym equipment, sports equipment, plants and gardening equipment as well as to cover maintenance and repair costs.

The Friends of Richmond Park Sheffield benefits our community by working to maintain, manage and improve the park for all. We make the park accessible by providing free and low cost activities and events on a wide range of subjects. We are also working on the expansion of the newly installed playground, improving the public amenities, gardens and facilities whilst promoting the park to the public

The installation of the new playground including swings, climbing frame and springers has given families a chance to enjoy the park we are know aiming to purchase more items to expand and improve the playground items requested include roundabout miniframe and benches. The events we provide and hope to continue to provide include:- free sports coaching which help in reducing antisocial behaviour. Flower arranging, crafting and gardening clubs that improve community cohesion and inclusion.
