Our purpose is to maintain and improve Greenhill Park and to encourage people to use it for recreational activities and community events, including the annual Lowedges Festival in August each year.

We work hard to improve the green spaces of the Lowedges Community as well as developing a greater sense of community pride. The annual Lowedges Festival has become a highlight of the year for local children and adults alike, offering diverse events, activities, stalls and shows. Friends of Greenhill Park also maintain and improve the park on a regular basis, from planting tree saplings and spring bulbs to installing new playground equipment.

Over the last ten years the group has made several improvements to the facilities of the park, including the creation of a skate park, a floodlit multi-games area and provided additional playground equipment. The annual festival in August has grown over the last four years and now attracts crowds of 10 - 15,000 people each year.
