Following our successful grant of a further £125,000 to Forest Row Parish Council to build a Youth Centre and MUGA, we now stand alone as the village charity to provide funds for residents, worthy causes and needy people in Forest Row. You'll probably know we have installed a Green Gym, a new Skatepark and have provided the village with power and water on the village green. Do go to our webpage, www.fryacc.co.uk to see what we're up to now!
Why the community needs usWe run a hugely successful charity shop in the heart of the village. This shop receives enormous quantities of high quality clothing, books, bric-a-brac, toys and household items. The shop has become a hub in the village for all residents. It's a warm, friendly space and is ALWAYS busy! Items we cannot use are recycled and for which we receive a small extra income. So, what the village doesn't need it recycles though us, we raise money and now we intend to give it back to the village.
Our impact on the communityThis perfect circle of recycling means we can fund needs in the community, be they The Scouts, Playgroups or services for elderly people to make their life easier, more pleasant and more inclusive. Those who wish a grant from us need only fill in a simple application form, then, if a group enterprise, offer volunteer help in the shop for the time it'll take to raise the money. Simples!!
