We've done it!!26 Days, 931 miles, 2,089,808 steps, 100's walk and £2,470 raised for Countrymen UK! Thank you everyone 💙

Five Days let to go and we've completed 1,774,744 steps averaging about 36 miles per day! The Countrymans club is overwhelmed by the generosity and the money will go so far and mean so much since their lottery funding stopped! thank you all!

WE REACHED 1,000,000 STEPS! We've been walking so far that we've reached the target with 14 days to go - so we'll keep going and see if we can do 2,000,000!! Thank you to everyone for their donations.

We're halfway there and only 6 days in - so proud of everyone, the whole team is walking miles every day, what with families, jobs and some freezing cold wind it certainly is a challenge but great to see a bit of friendly competition in the group!

Unfortunately my grandad, Leo Burt was taken by Covid-19 in early April. He was without doubt the most kind and thoughtful person I have ever had the privilege to know.
A couple of years ago Grandad started to suffer with dementia and he was lonely from living alone, but he was lucky enough to find an outlet that gave him a new lease of life...The Countryman's Club run by Future Roots is on a farm based in Dorset. It is run for older people and it’s aim is to help them become more resilient to the life-changes they experience as a result of rural isolation and ageing.
So to raise money for the Countryman’s Club I, along with my sister Rachel, Lucy, Esther, Netty and Uncle Hayward will be walking 800,000 steps over the next 26 days - that's around 370 miles! Anyone who knows me will know that 800,000 ciders over those days would be much more achievable so I hope you will support me in raising as much money as I possibly can for this fantastic charity so that other grandad’s are able to experience the joy and laughter that my own grandad did.
