12hour Pot Throwing Relay

Saturday 24 March, 6am–6pm at Milton Keynes Arts Centre Join us as we attempt to break records and raise £3,000 towards the cost of a new kiln for our ceramic department through a 12hour Sponsored Pot Throwing Relay and Ceramics Sale; raising vital funds to improve our creative learning ceramic offer. Our Top Potters will sit through 12hours of throwing on Saturday 24 March, 6am–6pm, collectively aiming for a target of 150 pots! Each perfect pot will be up for grabs in our Adopt a Pot scheme, available to glaze yourself or, we'll glaze it for you. Come along, take part and support the cause! MKAC provides a sense of wellbeing and a place to learn for local schools, families, people from marginalised communities and others who don't normally have access to the arts. It has been going since 1974 and has improved thousands of people's lives over the years since. One of our biggest and most loved assets is our Ceramic Department. Between 2015 and 2017, our ceramic activity has increased from 1060 participants per year to 3934; welcoming on average 300 people per month in areas of creative learning for children and adults and outreach projects with our local and often hard to reach communities. If we can raise £3000 through our sponsored throwing relay and on the day ceramic sales, it will mean we can continue to deliver our specialist programs in a bigger and better way! For us to achieve this goal, we will need the support and help of our community; and so we ask if you can please donate any amount, come along and buy a pot and offer moral support to our weekend fundraiser.
