Indepen-dance was founded in 1996, as an integrated dance company which provides creative movement/dance classes, training and performance opportunities for people with learning disabilities, their carers and volunteers.

The community needs Indepen-dance as it is the only Scottish based Dance Company offering the full range of these unique opportunities and believes that people with disabilities have the right to access a quality arts provision.

Indepen-dance works primarily with adults and young people with learning disabilities and their carers; our service is used by around 1450 individuals per year.
