BRAINBOX volunteers Jonnie Clarke & John McConville are embarking upon a sponsored 21.8 mile Tandem ride to raise money for BRAINBOX. They'll start at Newburn Leisure Centre at 10am and ride along the riverside route through Wylam and across Wylam bridge, past Tyneside Riverside Country Park, through Blaydon, into Gateshead to the Millennium Bridge. After crossing the bridge they'll return via Benwell Nature Park to the Keelman pub at Newburn to be met by BRAINBOX volunteers.
Why they need our serviceWe aim to get those orange polos shirts out there so that people can become more aware of the issues surrounding Childhood Acquired Brain Injury. ABI is the Hidden Disability and we want to make it visible and support whole families who live with the challenges presented by it in the North East of England.
Plan and expected resultsThe 2 Johnny's plan to raise a minimum of £250 through the Tandem Ride and hope it will become an annual event for BRAINBOX. This money will go to help and support children with an Acquired Brain Injury and their families and carers.
