I will be running the 20 miler race at the Bedford Running Festival without falling over and just finishing it unscathed 😊

Deaf Access Bedfordshire is run by our Charity Manager Jo, who is supported by 3 Trustees, a Deaf Led Advisory board and some amazing volunteers. The small team coordinates a range of events and activities across Bedford Borough to improve access and inclusion for the D/deaf community. They hold regular activities such as Deaf fit club, BSL Cafe, Deaf space and Deaf Coffee Club, as well as providing BSL taster courses and Basic BSL & Deaf awareness sessions.

This charity is close to my heart as my running companion Helene is a BSL translator for Deaf Access Bedfordshire, not only does she put up with hours of running with goofy me she represents the charity at major events, translating for Joe Wicks!!

My plan is to complete this ultimately flat loopy route as Helene knows it’s my nemesis and I’m pretty weak mentally when it comes to loopy races but I am the ultimate trip hazard. My aim is to complete it unscathed whereas Helene is going for gold and aiming for a 3 hour finish!
