On October 10th I will be 50! I'm having a party on 21st Oct and rather than have presents I'd like to raise some money forcSunshine and Smiles!
So I know "21 again" is a bit corny but let me explain. During my 21st year I "came out" so this was a very significant time for me. This year has been one of massive change and as I settle into my new home and new life in many ways it feels a bit like being 21 again!
Also I don't want presents but will be doing a collection for Sunshine and Smiles-Leeds Down Syndrome Network. Down Syndrome is also known as Trisomy 21 -that's 21 again and again and again!!!!!
I was one of the founder members of Sunshine and Smiles and given I'm highly unlikely to ever do anything sporty to raise money a party seems the ideal way to raise a bit of money for the group.
So please feel free to donate the price of a drink and hopefully I can raise a little bit for a fantastic group that has done so much for Lyall and his friends.
