Before January last year, I could empathise with those who had lost people to cancer, but I couldn't quite fully understand. Then I lost my friend Carrie, which was entirely heart-breaking. Her story is not for me to share here, but is what brought me to the decision to choose a local cancer charity for this years fundraising and hopefully raise awareness in the process.
Faye-Knowles Chapman sadly lost her battle against Cervical Cancer at the young age of 27. In memory of Faye, the foundation was set up to try raise awareness amongst young women and people in general.
