The idea for this event came from one of our asylum seeker families who are members of Together We Grow. Together We Grow bought walking boots as part of a new leisure activities fund for the family and so came their idea of doing this challenging three peaks walk in less than 12 hours - a distance of 26 miles!
Together We Grow welcomes asylum seekers and refugees to Calderdale and seeks to provide a wide range of opportunities to support integration locally and create experiences and memories for families to share. Over the past 4 years there have been many activities including a walking group, attending musical events, sharing meals, visiting local residents homes and accessing leisure activities. The organisation relies entirely on volunteers and fundraising
Our family will be joined by Sharon, Beryl, Marian, Laura and Peter but not necessarily all being able to do all three peaks.
