I'm going to be doing the 300,000 steps in March challenge. I'm doing it to try and get myself back on track fitness-wise but I would also like to try and raise some money for Huntington's Disease which my father passed away with HD in June 2017.
Huntington's Disease is an inherited disease with symptoms, usually starting at mid-adulthood, causing a progressive loss of control over thoughts, feelings, behaviour, movement and communication until the person requires 24-hour care. Every child conceived naturally to a parent with HD has a 50% chance of inheriting the disease. There are over 285 families affected by HD in Northern Ireland and currently no cure.
